Death Brings Life

For a seed to bear fruit it has to be buried (to die) in order to give life. There's no life without death and our ultimate example is the life of our Savior.

But from death the first most important step is to grieve. Of which there are five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance).

When we grieve it allows us to feel our pain and process it or we could run from it. This process reminds me of the metamorphosis of a butterfly. It starts off as a moth and evolves into a colorful butterfly. The moth is almost the shape of a corpse which signifies death to me. And then it sheds off outer layers so it could become a butterfly with colorful wings and a new shape. As humans going through grief we need the help of God, family, therapists and spiritual support maybe in the form of a leader and/or community.

But the beauty of the transformation of a butterfly is that it took time to change. Maybe it's time to grieve so you can change and become who God created you to be. Your transformation and healing is not only for yourself but the generation after you. Maybe it's time for you to pick up the baton and start running. But you can't run far if you have heaviness or baggage from the past. Let go of any thing that might weigh you down so you can run this race called life with perseverance, endurance, faith and optimism. There are other people dependent on your obedience.

Shake off languish particularly that this pandemic might have brought or added on to you and start walking. So you can be ready to run this next race of life however many years the Father had in store for you on this earth.

And remember we are running a marathon not a sprint. Run at the pace God has set out for your individual journey.
